DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING 

   Functions of General Administration Division
  

  1. Managing clerical division and controlling staff leave records. 

  2. Performing general administrative tasks. 

  3. Arranging payment for work indent, tender, quotation and purchase. 

  4. Managing claims for refund of deposit and electricity bills in Shah Alam

  5. Managing infrastructure files, tender, electricity, roads, drainage and others. 

  6. Managing and recording all the letters received from inside and outside of the department in the Acceptance Record Book. 

  7. Managing all letters and documents process.

  8. Coordinating and controlling the stocks / inventories and receipt and the purchase of office equipment.

  9. Ensuring letters, memos, indent, tender, permit and related matters typed immediately. 

  10. Ensuring there are no errors in the letters, memos and others.​

   Functions of Infrastructure Control Division

  1. Responsible for reviewing the plans for planning permission and building stand. 

  2. Responsible for reviewing and approving plans for earthworks and infrastructure (roads, drains and street lights) for the development of new areas. 

  3. Processing and issuing permit for land works (permit for temporary construction of entrance / exit path and carrying soil on public roads). 

  4. Processing and issuing of the Certificate of Approval for Infrastructure Work to support the issuance of CF.​

   Functions of the Road Division

  1. Coordinating complaints for Engineering Department action. 

  2. Planning, managing and coordinating maintenance works and proposal of upgrading the existing infrastructure (public roads, traffic signs and street name signs) within the administrative area of MBSA.

   Functions of Drainage Division

  1. Coordinating complaints for division action.  

  2. Planning, managing and coordinating maintenance work of the drains within the area of MBSA administration. 

  3. Coordinating all complaints regarding flood.​

    Functions of Geotechnical Division

  1. Coordinating all complaints related to slopes and landslides.

  2. Monitoring, supervising and maintaining slopes from landslide incidents.

    Function of Special Projects Division

  1. Planning development projects and repairing infrastructure through providing designs and tender & invoice documents.

  2. Coordinating project construction works. 

  3. Coordinating projects under the provisions of the Federal and State Governments.

    Functions of Building Maintenance Division

  1. Planning, managing and coordinating maintenance works of MBSA Wisma, MBSA premises (halls, markets & stores).​

   Functions of Workshop and Electric Maintenance Division

  1. Planning, managing and coordinating the maintenance of public street lights, traffic lights, public lights at recreational park and playground within MBSA administration area. 

  2. Planning and upgrading old public street light. 

  3. Planning and designing the installation of decorative lights for festive seasons. 

  4. Maintaining the council vehicles, tractors, machines and mechanical appliances. 

  5. Managing the vehicle and driver services for the use of departments and official duties of the Council.

  6. Managing the purchase of new vehicles, tractors, machines and mechanical appliances.​

Client's Charter

  1. Immediate action to be taken within three days for complaints on repairing minor damage of perforated roads.

  2. Immediate action to be taken within seven days for complaints on repairing minor damage of cracked drains. 

  3. Immediate action to be taken within 24 hours for complaints on repairing damage traffic lights that do not involve cable..

  4. Immediate action to be taken within three days for complaints on repairing minor damage of council assets (stores, markets, halls and offices).​
