DESCRIPTION AND DATA CONCERNING 5S IMPLEMENTATION’S ACHIEVEMENT

Basicly Shah Alam City Council has attained certification of Quality Surroundings Practice on the 20th September 2000 and maintained the certification which will expire on the 29th April 2010. During the implementation of Quality Surroundings Practice 5S Shah Alam City Council was inaugurated as the winner in the 2001,2003 NATIONAL LEVEL 5S PRACTICE AWARD ( OPEN CATEGORY) SERVICE SECTOR which was organized by National Productivity Centre (NPC) and in 2008 MBSA was successful in achieving the SPECIAL AWARDS for the 5S QUALITY SURROUNDINGS PRACTICE at the NATIONAL LEVEL which was organized by the Malaysian Productivity Centre (MPC). After winning and achieving such auspicious award, MBSA has been adjudged the “BENCHMARK” by all new outside agencies which consist of the Private and Government Bodies in learning the implementations of the 5S Quality Surroundings Practice Program.

Attached hereby is the achievement data for the implementation of 5S through the auditing results of the Quality Administration and Surroundings Awards (APPB) at MBSA level categorically.

• MS ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification Awards by Sirim QAS 2003 ( 10 Scopes) 2004-2008 ( 11 Scopes)
• MS ISO 9001 : 2008 Certification Awards by Sirim QAS ( 11 Scopes) 2008-2009 ( 11 Scopes) until 14/11/2010
• National Level 5S Quality Surroundings Awards 27.08.09 & Winner of the Special Awards by MPC on the 29th October 2009
