Application For Change of Number of Premises

​Introduction

Application is based on the belief / 'feng shui' by non-Muslims, which means 'dead' and between reason and faith is the owner of: 

  1. The present trend that pays more attention to aspects of 'Feng Shui' and taboos of premises with the number '4' and '13'.

  2. The number of the premise has now become a key aspect in the valuation and sales price of properties.

  3. Increasing the selling price and the value of the premise.

  4. The number of the premise that does not bring luck to the family or residence unit.

  5. Business that is conducted there is not viable.

Guidelines​

  1. Application to change the number of the premise can be forwarded to the Council voting for the following purposes:

  2. The  Council Policy for the numbering of premises is observed as follows

    • Number of Premises on the Right: odd numbers (1.3, 5 .......) 

    • Number of Premises on the Left: Even numbers (2, 4, 6 .....) ​

  3. The development of a multi-storey is only allowed for the change of the unit number only and not for the number of the level of the building. 

  4. The owner has to submit the receipt of the latest. Buyer / homeowner is required to pay the assessment imposed by the Council as stipulated in the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171). 

  5. The applicant is responsible for updating his/her home address to the respective agencies such as quick rent, land tax, TNB, SYABAS, business licenses, bank and the like.​
