Application For Additional Amendment of Residential House(Standard Plan)

​​​​​​Introduction

​Owners who plan to make additional residential house amendment applications for 1-storey and 2-storey terrace houses of the middle lot type (intermediate) who have obtained a Certificate of Eligibility for Building Occupancy or a Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) can use the Equivalent Plan Book. Council will issue approval within 5 days (working) from the date the application is received.

The Equivalent Plan provided in this guideline book is used instead of a plan to be submitted by the owner to the Council without having to get the services of a consultant to be approved as contained in the provisions of Section 18, Uniform Building By-Laws 1984 (UKBS). Therefore, the owner is fully responsible for the additions / amendments made in terms of the stability and sturdiness of the structures built. The owner only need to select the type of additions / amendment they wish to make and sign each copy that has been selected. Please be reminded that the Shah Alam City Council will not be held responsible for any claims​, allegations or actions resulting from the construction of additional works / amendments.

These Equivalent Plan guidelines are available at the Building Department Counter, Floor G, Wisma MBSA, Persiaran Perbandaran, Shah Alam for RM50.00.

How To Apply

  1. Fill out the application form and complete the Equivalent Plan. For more information, please go to the Building Department Counter, Floor G, Wisma MBSA.
     
  2. Complete the plans with:

    • Owner's name ; according to the name written on the copy of the Sales & Purchase Agreement
       
    • Home Address
       
    • Identification Number
       
    • Identify the type of house, the part to be amended, the size of the lot, the distance of the existing building from the boundary line.

    • Select the sketch that suits the proposed additional amendment that you want to do (Two Storey Terrace House) or Upper Front Addition Plan (Two Storey Terrace House) and so on.

    • Owner's signature on each form and skethc
       
     
  1. Owner must submit an application for a permit to park building materials together with the application.

  2. Owners are required to apply for services using RORO (Roll On Roll Off) bins for the disposal of construction waste. Payment for this service must be paid together with the bill for additional processing of amendments at Counter G, Wisma MBSA.

  4. Owner is required to pay the process fee, permit to park building materials, RORO barrel payment and fine (if related) before the plan and letter of approval is submitted.
